  The First Officer Representative advocates for First Officers and ensures they receive equal representation in all areas the Association’s business.
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  Serves as primary contact for First Officer questions, concerns, and quality-of-life issues.
  
  Advocates for First Officer fairness in training, scheduling, professional opportunities, and upgrades.
  
  Provides support for new-hire onboarding, mentorship, and integration.
  
  Works with the Training Committee to address First Officer training trends or challenges.
  
  Monitors First Officer involvement in safety programs, ERC matters, and performance evaluations.
  
  Ensures First Officer interests are represented in negotiations and contractual discussions.

Dear Pilot Group,

I want to sincerely thank you for the opportunity to serve as your First Officer Representative.

For those who may not know me yet, my name is Monica Mieles. I have been with 21 Air for a little over a year as a First Officer and currently serve on the Grievance and IT Committees. Throughout my career—primarily in cargo operations under Part 121 and Part 135, in both Captain and First Officer roles—I have always valued teamwork, communication, and supporting those around me.

As our company and Union continue to grow, so do the opportunities and challenges before us. I strongly believe that open communication and mutual respect are the foundation of a strong pilot group. My goal is to serve you with integrity, transparency, and dedication while ensuring First Officers’ voices are clearly represented to the TAPA Board and the Company.
