      The President serves as the chief executive officer of 21 Air Pilots Association and is responsible for the overall direction, health, and performance of the Association. This position provides leadership to all committees, represents the pilot group in internal and external affairs, and ensures that TAPA operates in accordance with its mission, bylaws, and ethical standards.

      Responsibilities:

      • Leads strategic planning for the pilot group and long-term Association goals.
      • Chairs all Board meetings, general membership meetings, and special sessions.
      • Serves as the primary representative in meetings with company executives, regulators, and  industry partners.
      • Protects and promotes the rights, interests, and well-being of all pilots.
      • Manage relationships with key executives such as the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, Human Resources, Safety, and Training departments.
      • Oversee all committees to ensure they are effectively functioning, staffed, and aligned with Association’s priorities.
      • Approves all official communications, policy updates, and public statements.
      • Resolves escalated disputes, sensitive pilot matters, and confidential issues.
      • Oversees grievance escalations, jumpseat negotiations, training matters, and safety initiatives.
      • Provides continuity and stability during transitions or periods of organizational change.
